Wendy Rowe, owner and manager of Front Rowe Realty and Island Easy, is a fifth generation Bahamian whose family emigrated from Scotland and England in the 1800's. She was raised in Nassau and educated both in the Bahamas and in the United States, attending Roanoke College and The Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Whilst in Florida, she met and married (1998) Douglas Rowe, an inveterate sailor and fisherman. Together, they relocated to George Town Exuma, where they lived on their boat. From her sea-surround perspective, Wendy fell under the spell of the Exumian blue-green transparent waters and white unspoiled beaches. As she expressed it herself, “I discovered real estate and dove headfirst into the business.”
In 1999 she received her Salesman’s license from the Bahamas Real Estate Association (BREA) and joined H.G. Christie Ltd., Exuma office, as their representative and manager, where she served until 2008. During three of those years her success in selling, leasing and assisting in appraisals earned her recognition as the Company’s top Out-island producer.
Wendy reports that in 2005 she and her husband founded Island Easy, a property management firm, in response to the perceived need of property investors and part-time residents of the island for reliable over-sight of their homes and businesses. Island Easy has been a successful and growing adjunct to the realty business.
With her roots in the Bahamas, her U.S. education, her nine years of experience in real estate on Exuma, Wendy felt ready to broaden her business horizons by establishing her own company, Front Rowe Realty, through which she can best serve her clients.
Mrs. Wendy Rowe is a certified broker; a member of the Bahamas Real Estate Association (BREA), the Bahamas Multiple Listing service (MLS) and is certified as a resident specialist (CRS) from the National Association of Realtors in the United States. She has served as secretary to the Exuma Chamber of commerce and the Yuma Arts Association and has served twice as a member of the local Government's Port Authority Board.
